China International (Guangzhou) Aquaculture Exhibition 2016 will be held from 26 to 28 August, 2016 in China Import & Export Fair (Canton Fair) Complex, Guangzhou. Known as a country with huge production, trade and consumption volume, China has the greatest output of aquatic products around the world. What’s more, China is the only country that have greater aquaculture production than fishing production. China’s aquaculture production covers more than 70% of the total world production. In 2014, China’s aquaculture area reached 8,386.360 hectares. Among them, the mariculture area is 2,305,470 hectares, fresh water aquaculture area is 6,080,890 hectares. Regarding production output value, mariculture reached USD13.4 billion, freshwater aquaculture USD80.5 billion, aquatic fingerlings USD94.7. In China, with flourishing aquaculture and openings of a large number of fish farms, development was brought to enterprises of seeding, feeding, equipment, scientific research and aquaculture.
