Fine Food Australia is celebrated its 30th year of connecting buyers and sellers within the food industry at the 2014 event in Melbourne. Australia’s leading trade show presents new and innovative products from around Australia and from over 45 countries internationally, as well as live demonstrations, masterclasses and industry recognised competitions.

Fine Food Australia alternates between Sydney and Melbourne each September. In 2015, we will be returning to Sydney with a new home – The Dome & Halls 2-6, Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, from Sunday 20 – Wednesday 23 September 2015. The show opening hours are 10am – 5pm daily.

What is Fine Food Australia?
Fine Food Australia is a trade show for the foodservice, hospitality and retail sectors. It brings together world-class producers and leading suppliers to the one location every year. The largest trade show of its kind in Australia, hosting over 1,000 exhibitors, the next Fine Food Australia show will return to Sydney, moving to a new home at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from Sunday 20 – Wednesday 23 September 2015.

Where is the exhibition being held?
As the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre is now closed for major redevelopment, Fine Food Australia will move to a new home in 2015 to Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. Transport options can be viewed on our website.
Who can attend?
Fine Food Australia is a trade only event. Admission is restricted to professional persons working in the food, drink or equipment industries. Persons not in these categories (including children) will not be admitted at any time. Identification may be required at the door.
How can I register?
Online registrations will open closer to the event next year. If you have registered or attended our shows in the past, you will receive email updates once registration is open. If you are new to Fine Food, but sure to sign up to our newsletter to receive updates.
Can students attend?
Students over the age of 16 who are enrolled in a hospitality course at a tertiary level or registered apprentices may attend the show if they have the appropriate student identity card. Primary and Secondary school students will not be admitted at any time, regardless of any courses they may be studying. Students need to be mindful this is a business event and need to be respectful of exhibitors and their time. Exhibitors are here to engage in business opportunities. Please be considerate of their time and also promotional material and samples available.
Can I bring my family?
No. This is a business event and entry is restricted to those people actually working in the industry. The only exception is infants under one year that cannot be separated from their primary caregiver. If you bring an infant we strongly recommend that you carry them in a pouch, due to crowds (strictly no prams).
Are there child-minding facilities?
No. If you are traveling from interstate we suggest you organise a baby-sitter through your hotel or by looking up ‘Baby Sitters’ in the Yellow Pages.
Do I need a Visa for Australia?
Most visitors will require a Visa to enter Australia. Applications need to be made well in advance at the Australian Consulate in your own country or in some cases can be made online. For more information visit the Australian Government Immigration site.
Can you provide me with an invitation letter so I can apply for a visitor visa?
It is not our company policy to provide invitation letters to visitors wishing to attend our shows. For more information on applying for a Visa visit the Department of Immigration website.
Will I need to bring identification with me?
Yes. Proof of industry involvement may be requested at the registration counters or the entrance. We suggest you bring along business cards, invoice or company documentation along with personal identification such as a driver’s licence or passport.
How many exhibitors are there?
There will be more than 1,000 exhibitors displaying food, drink and equipment at the show. There is a mix of both national and international suppliers at Fine Food Australia. View the 2014 Exhibitor Directory. The 2015 Exhibitor Directory will be published closer to the event.
Can you tell me which companies are exhibiting?
For an up-to-date list of exhibitors at Fine Food Australia, please refer to the Exhibitor Directory. If there is a particular company you are enquiring about and are not showing, they may be sharing a stand or be a recent booking. You might like to contact them directly or check this site again closer to the show.
Will there be any special events?
Yes. Preparation for the 2015 event is well underway. View the 2014 timetables now to get a taste of what you can expect in 2015.
What are the conditions of entry?
Fine Food Australia is strictly a trade-only event. Entry is restricted to members of the retail, foodservice and hospitality industry. Proof of business identification may be requested. Proof of business identification may include:
a business card in your name, or
employee verification on company letterhead, or
evidence of membership of a relevant professional or industry association.
Persons not in these industry categories, including children and students under the age of 16, and primary/secondary students (regardless of course of study) will not be admitted at any time. Tertiary students enrolled in a hospitality course with valid student ID will be admitted.
Please note that for safety reasons, children under the age of 16 will not be admitted into the Fine Food exhibition. Nursing infants in baby carriers are the only exception; prams, strollers and trolleys (ie shopping trolleys) will not be allowed inside the exhibition halls. This applies to the children of both visitors and exhibitors. Under no circumstances are any children permitted into the exhibition halls during Move In and Move Out of the show.

You will be able to see and taste thousands of new food and beverage ideas at Fine Food Australia, and try out the latest equipment in our Equipment Section. To help you find your way around there are special sections for bakery, confectionery, dairy, drinks, hospitality, meat & seafood, natural products, gluten free, catering equipment, packaging and retail equipment.
