The very objective of organizing the IISS is to highlight India's immense fishery potential and the rapid progress made by the country in the fisheries sector. The first seafood show was held in 1973 at Mumbai and in 2014, it is the 19th edition that is going to be held from 22th to 24th January 2014 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India, promises to be even bigger and better. The 19th IISS is a completely revamped event which will showcase enhanced overseas participation in terms of stalls, delegates and visitors registering an increased show area. This year the show will spread over an area of 6100 sq. mtr in the hall nos 2 & 3 of the majestic Chennai Trade Centre.
