ALIMENTARIA 2014
Alimentaria is one of the most important food and drinks trade shows in the world. This fact is recognised by the major international operators in food and drink manufacturing, distribution and trade. This is a benchmark event whose success derives from highly specialised offerings, innovation and a tireless commitment to the show's international focus.From 31 March to 3 April 2014, Alimentaria will once again become an international business centre for all professionals with ties to the food and drinks industry.
WHY VISIT
Alimentaria 2012 brought together 141,826 professionals and close to 4,000 exhibitor companies. There was an increase in visitors (+1.4%) over the previous edition, despite the fact that the show was one day shorter and the general strike called for Thursday, 29th March. These figures are particularly pertinent given the current crisis and prove the strength of the food industry as a clear driving force behind the recovery of the Spanish economy.
Attendance by international professionals also beat all records with 39,792 visitors from 143 countries, 29% of the total and 11% more than at the last edition of Alimentaria in 2010.
Alimentaria has once again reaffirmed not only its status as a benchmark Spanish event for the agri-frood industry, but also its position among the three most important food trade fairs in the world.
