The exhibits will be displayed in Halls 69 and 75 (Sector B and C) and at VVC’s open air sites.

The opening ceremony will be held on 9 October, at 12:00 in Hall 75 of the All-Russian Exhibition Center.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkadiy Dvorkovich, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Fyodorov, the Netherlands’ Minister of Agriculture, Sharon Dijksma, the Director General of OAO GAO All-Russian Exhibition Center, Alexei Mikushko, and other officials.

AgroTech Russia is Russia’s biggest trade fair of agricultural equipment which provides Russian and foreign enterprises with an opportunity to present advanced plant production technologies, modern equipment such as tractors, tillage machines and tools, crop cultivation and harvesting machinery, equipment for plant production storage, primary processing and transportation, as well as seeds, fertilizers, plant protection agents, etc.

Over 450 exhibitors from 25 countries are taking part in the show this year, including Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, China, Byelorussia, etc. Those who participate for the first time include Australia. Russia will be represented by companies and organizations from 32 regions.

A total of over 200 units of agricultural equipment will be displayed in Halls 69 and 75 (Section B) and in VVC’s outdoor areas.

Traditionally, AgroTech exhibitors have used the fair to showcase their new products. This year’s exhibition will present 40 such innovations, including 25 pieces of equipment and machinery.

AgroTech Russia will provide industry experts, agribusinesses and investors with quick access to a wide range of capital goods for crop production, updates on development trends and technological solutions that would offer most efficient tools for plant production, and information on their practical implementation.

The keynote event of the exhibition this year will focus on investment – the International Agroindustrial Investment Forum Investing in Agriculture: the Role of Government and Business (13:00, October 9, Large Conference Room, Hall 75). The whole of October 10th will be devoted to Russian-Dutch cooperation as part of the Russian-Dutch Bilateral Year 2013. The activities will start with the Russian-Dutch Forum Agribusiness Russia-the Netherlands: an Open View, co-organized by the Russian Agricultural Ministry and the Dutch Ministry of Economy, Agriculture and Innovation (10:30, October 10, Hall 75, Section C).

The Technical Programme of AgroTech Russia contains events focusing on the current issues of crop production and arable farming, agricultural development strategies and the situation in industry markets.

In the run-up to the trade fair, exhibitors will be able to compete in 6 sectoral nominations such as “The Production of Highly Efficient Agricultural Equipment and Implementation of Advanced Resource Saving Technologies,” “The Use of Modern Methods of Monitoring the Operational Status of Self-Propelled Vehicles and Other Equipment,” etc.

A major strength of AgroTech Russia is the high quality of its visitors. According to a 2012 survey, 95 percent of the visitors said they had a professional interest, and 58 percent had the authority to make investment decisions concerning technological modernization of agricultural businesses or could influence such decisions. This purpose-oriented audience allows exhibitors to find new business partners, broaden their markets and make long-term contracts with production firms.
