BIOFACH China is first and foremost an exhibition for traders. However, in emerging organic markets business-to-consumer communication is of particular importance. Pioneering organic companies are required to show and explain their brands to consumers and consumers who need to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the special features and particularities of organic food production. As a consequence, BIOFACH China will not only open its doors to consumers on the last day of the exhibition but also offer a specific consumer-education programme.
BioFach China from 26th to 28th May 2011 in Shanghai celebrated its fifth anniversary with a 27% increase in visitors. 14,613 (2010: 11,526) international organic product sector players travelled from 33 countries to what was so far the most successful edition of the only trade fair for certified organic products in China. The organizer, NürnbergMesse China, was delighted with the birthday present - fully booked exhibition space with increased exhibitor figures: 342 manufacturers (2010: 313), 13% of them are international.
Shanghai is China's fastest growing metropolis with the highest purchasing power, which is linked to global markets by convenient transportation links and is the international meeting point of sellers and buyers from all over the world.
The seventh edition of BIOFACH China from May 23 – 25, 2013 was a great success. Some 16,000 visitors attended the show and caught up on the latest news in the organic sector of China presented by more than 250 exhibitors. Already today we can assess that the positive development of the last years continued. Now it is time to look forward to BIOFACH China 2014.
