MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL COFFEE EXPO TO HOST 2014 WORLD LATTE ART CHAMPIONSHIPS
World Coffee Events (WCE) announced on 28 June that the 2014 World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee in Good Spirits and World Cup Tasters Championship will take place in Melbourne, Australia.
The event will be hosted by the 2014 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE2014), the largest dedicated coffee event to ever take place on Australian soil.
The international championship will be held at MICE from 15 – 18 May 2014 at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
“The ability to foster the growing and vibrant coffee community in Melbourne is an exciting opportunity by continuing our partnership with MICE in their third edition of the event,” says Carl Sara, Chair of the WCE Board of Advisors. “In line with the mission of WCE to produce premiere coffee events around the world, our organisation is continually seeking to build long-standing relationships with global partners, such as MICE.”
The announcement comes after a momentous World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup at MICE2013 from 23 – 26 May.
After a thorough review and bid process, the World Coffee Events (WCE) Board of Advisors also announced Rimini, Italy as the host city of the 2014 World Barista Championship, 2014 World Brewers Cup and 2014 World Roasting Championship. The event will take place at the SCAE World of Coffee Event from 10 – 12 June 2014.
