Vinexpo Asia-Pacific, held every two years in Hong Kong, is one of the largest international trade shows for the Asian region. It provides an important opportunity to reach influential trade representatives from across Asia. In 2012, the event attracted 15,785 visitors from 24 countries, up 25% compared to 2010.
China and Hong Kong combined represent the third largest export market for Australian wine by value at more than A$268 million (HK$2.06 billion) and almost 50 million litres. These two key Asian markets are showing positive signs for an appreciation of Australia’s fine wines, with exports to Hong Kong valued over A$10 (HK$80) per litre and an increase of 25% in volume to more than 1.45 million litres. This makes Hong Kong Australia’s fourth largest export market for wines over A$10. Mainland China holds the top position for wines above this value, importing more than 3.65 million litres, up 62% during the year.
Persons or companies whose activity is “the production and sale of wines and/or spirits”. They are major players in their sector by virtue of their product range, sales turnover and business activity at international level.
They should belong to the following categories: wine trading on wine production markets, still and sparkling wine production, champagne production, spirits production, wine cooperatives.
Official organisations involved in the promotion of wines and spirits may also be admitted.
All wines and spirits must respect text regulations rigorously of the country of production as well as the AOC regulation
and country where the exhibition takes place. AOC labelling must be observed.
