The Global Aquaculture Alliance invites professionals across the seafood value chain to engage in the responsible aquaculture movement at GOAL 2013, based at the Hotel Pullman Paris Montparnasse in Paris. This year's theme, "Join the Journey," recognizes that responsible aquaculture is not a destination but a journey. Many of the sustainable seafood goals set years ago are now becoming standard industry practices.
Be part of this important annual event. GOAL 2013 sets out to define the aquaculture agenda for the next 10 to 20 years. In particular, what else can be done to ensure the additional millions of tons of seafood required to feed the world are produced in a responsible manner? The event will also focus on opportunities to grow aquaculture production in Africa and what fish farmers there can do to better access European markets.
GOAL 2013 is expected to draw upward of 400 seafood professionals representing the world's leading retailers, foodservice operators, suppliers, producers and NGOs. In addition to the program sessions, there will be many opportunities to network with industry leaders and set up meetings with existing and potential suppliers and buyers.
"Join the Journey" to gather more knowledge of the issues affecting farmed seafood. Engage in the discussion to bring more responsibly farmed seafood to the marketplace.
