ASSOCHAM as India's premier apex chamber has been taking initiatives to strengthen India’s international economic relations. In this endeavor, ASSOCHAM had successfully participated in the 79th International Agricultural Fair held in Novisad, Serbia & set up India Pavilion mobilizing more than 25 Indian companies who had participated in this Fair.
As a step forward in this regard, we are putting up “Indian Agri Tech & Food Pavilion” in 80th International Agricultural Fair, 18-24 May, 2013, Novi Sad, Serbia. The objective of the exhibition is to strengthen the International market for Indian agricultural technology, tractors, farm machinery and food products to regain the share in international market.
India's relations with Serbia have traditionally been close and friendly since the days of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY). Following the dissolution of the SFRY in the early 1990’s and the emergence of the Republic of Serbia, those early bonds of friendship and cooperation still provide the foundation for the relations between the two countries.
India exports coffee, seeds, spices, minerals & natural stone, petroleum oil, chemicals, medicines, pharmaceuticals, yarn, fabrics, Mahindra & Mahindra cars and tractors, TAFE tractors, Sonalika tractors, readymade garments and footwear to Serbia. Its imports from Serbia include propellent powders, industrial machinery, clothes and footwear, plastic & rubber moulds and zinc waste and scrap.
Accordingly, with a view to providing excellent opportunity to Indian companies, ASSOCHAM with the support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India is organizing “India Pavilion at “Indian Agri Tech & Food Pavilion” in 80th International Agricultural Fair, 18-24 May, 2013, Novi Sad, Serbia.
