Introduction
WINEXPO is the short name of China (Guangzhou) International Wine & Spirits Exhibition .It’s born in the background of rapid growth of wine& Sprits in China Consumer market. After six years of development, WINEXPO became a prestigious showcase for wine & spirits producers, traders, importers, distributors in domestic and overseas countries, focusing on professional communication and trading-oriented business. WINEXPO is aimed to be the largest and most professional wine & spirits fair in China.

According to statistics, China has ranked as the No.1 country in consuming wine in Asia; China’s current wine consumption has reached 105 million liters per year, with an increase of 27.63% for wine and 27.2% for spirits. Especially, with the decrease of tariffs for wine, which had decreased from 43% to 14%, China will be the biggest market for wine in the world. And WINEXPO will be continually based on Guangzhou, combining with the location advantages of Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and 10 other countries from ASEAN, constituting a professional and trade-oriented platform for Wine & Spirits industry.

China----The biggest market for wine
China is a great consuming country with a population of more than 1.3 billion and the fastest developing country in the world’s economic. As consuming ability grows up,all kinds of imported alcoholic drinks and wines have began to enter into normal families.Wine’s consumption grows up by over 3% every year over the same period of the previous year.At present, China’s wine & spirits consumption account for 23% of the world’s total consumption,making China one of the biggest wine consuming market in the world.


Guangzhou---The biggest showcase of wine
♦Guangdong province, where capital city Guangzhou located, is the most dynamic economic region in China today. The GDP of Guangdong Province in 2007 reached CNY 3.0606 trillion, with a growth rate of 14.5%, exceeding the average value of “four small dragons” in Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Korea). Guangdong has large consumption ability in liquor.

♦According to 2007 statistics, the amount of the annual consumption of liquor in Guangdong up to 26 billion, of which red wine, wines, and spirits accounted for 23% of country's total consumptions, liquor annual consumption reach 700 thousand tons, the annual beer market consumption reach up to more than 2 million tons.

♦There are 130000 enterprises engaged in liquor trade in Guangdong, with the open concept to market, a huge consumer groups, a variety of consumer-level, high consumption potential, as well as tolerance consumption concept.

Winexpo 2012
12,000 professional domestic and overseas buyers and 60,000 visitors, together with 368 exhibitors had attended WINEXPO 2012 in May 10th~12th. The show area of the exhibition reached to 13,000 ㎡, the booths reached to 350, and the overseas exhibitors had occupied 80% of the booths. Main exhibiting countries of the show were Italy, France, South Africa, Spain, Greece, Australia, the Dominican Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, California United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the other countries and regions. In WINEXPO 2012, the total trading volume amounted to about hundreds of millions Yuan, and Sichuan pavilion, Moldova pavilion, Italia pavilion and Spain pavilion had occupied 28% of the total amount, which had made another record of WINEXPO. The success of WINEXPO2012 had helped WINEXPO to be an irreplaceable exposition in South China.
