Japan is the birthplace of the functional ingredients industry, with its long tradition of enhancing the health benefits of food products. This budding market continues to grow rapidly and key players from around the world are coming to Hi Japan to witness the ongoing evolution of the functional ingredients industry.

In an aging population, people are now giving more attentions to health food such as functional food and supplements. What’s more, the attentions to beauty are making people demand for cosmeceuticals more than ever. To develop those products, finding health ingredients and valuable ways of the applications is a big theme in food industry, cosmetic industry and even medical industry now.

Hi Japan is a global business platform that offers the opportunity to drive forward product development initiatives. Attending the annual show is a “MUST” event for every manufacturer, company or brand involved in the health ingredients industry. Hi Japan has been the leading industry trade show that consistently delivers a worldwide audience of health ingredients professionals for the past 23 years. Special Conference
In addition to the “Exhibitor Presentations” programme, there is a “Special Conference” that features high-profile speakers presenting papers on the latest developments in ingredients technology, marketing trends and advances in food safety and quality control. There were 41 conference sessions during Hi Japan 2012.
